BBIP establishes Munich office and makes 3 new hires

BBIP is pleased to welcome three new members to its team; Martin Krastev and Amrita Jaijee based in BBIP’s London office and Markus Geisselmann based in Munich. This recruitment grows the BBIP team to 12 globally, with offices in London, Munich and New York.

Markus Geisselmann joins BBIP as Vice President based in Munich and advises on the origination, execution, management and operation of investments in Western Europe, with particular focus on the German market.

Markus has over 10 years of infrastructure investment experience, and before joining BBIP, he was Bid Director at Balfour Beatty Capital’s Munich office where he was responsible for the origination and acquisition of infrastructure assets in Central and Western Europe.

Prior to joining Balfour Beatty Capital, Markus worked for the infrastructure investment department of major Austrian and German contractors (Alpine Mayreder and Walter Bau) and Kreditananstalt für Wiederaufbau (KFW).

Markus holds a degree in business administration from Pforzheim University.

Martin Krastev joins BBIP as an Associate and advises on the origination, execution, management and operation of investments, predominantly in Western Europe.

Previously, Martin was an associate in the European Infrastructure Power and Utilities M&A team at Macquarie Capital. Martin has a wealth of infrastructure experience, having specialized in the European power and regulated utilities sectors at Macquarie and having also worked on advisory mandates for transport (airports and roads).

Martin holds a MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and has completed an Executive Masters Degree at INSEAD.

Amrita Jaijee joins as General Counsel for BBIP, responsible for all legal matters.

Previously, Amrita has spent over four years with Macquarie with a focus on principal investment, financing, asset management and support to financial advisory businesses, primarily in the Infrastructure and Real Estate sectors across the EMEA region. Prior to that, Amrita was part of the European Transaction and Securitisation Group at Citi focusing on structuring and negotiation of financing. Amrita trained and qualified with Clifford Chance with a particular focus on Pan-European Acquisition Financing transactions.

Amrita holds an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University and is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
